1In short

Without your consent wid.agency uses only necessary technologies — without them the site cannot work or remember your choice. If you click “Accept all”, our own wid.agency analytics are enabled and linked to your application. Matomo continues on verify.wid.agency and sign.wid.agency, with anonymous page-view counts without consent. On the main site no activity history is collected without consent; application security data are saved when you submit, as described below. There is no Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica or advertising pixels on the site. We do not sell information about visits or share it for advertising.

2Application context and activity history

Application technical report on wid.agency

When you submit an application, our server saves your form, Telegram and WhatsApp contacts, full message, submission time, IP address, approximate IP country, region and city, network operator (ASN organisation), browser HTTP header and language. Your browser also supplies the time zone and public page address. These data support application handling and checks of suspicious submissions; refusing analytics does not turn them off.

With “Accept all”, our own code also saves public page history, UTM campaign tags, referring site, site control clicks, scroll depth, elapsed and active page time, screen, platform, languages, logical CPU count, approximate RAM, graphics adapter and connection estimates, only where exposed by the browser. Video memory is not exposed. We do not capture field contents, keystrokes or screen recordings in the activity history. History starts after consent; earlier activity is not reconstructed.

The optional “Share device location” button adds coordinates and accuracy only after separate browser permission. You can remove them before submitting; after 30 minutes they expire. You can send an application without coordinates. IP location is approximate and browser data can be spoofed: they do not prove identity, fraud or a physical address.

The main site no longer loads Matomo: our own code collects the data and our server processes it. IP geography and network operator are looked up in local databases: IP Geolocation by DB-IP (CC BY 4.0), without sending IP addresses to an external service. An application summary and full report go to our private Telegram work group. Visit records without an application are retained for up to 30 days; data attached to an application are kept with it, normally up to 12 months after the last contact. The sessionStorage history belongs to the current tab; the session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Choosing “Necessary only” stops collection and clears tab history; already submitted records can be deleted on request.

3What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to recognise you on your next visit. Similar technologies include the browser’s local storage, pixels — invisible images used to count views — and device fingerprinting.

Such technologies can be necessary — the site does not work without them — or analytics and advertising ones that track visitor behaviour. Under the GDPR the latter require your consent.

4The consent window

ButtonWhat is enabledWhat is stored
Necessary onlyNecessary technologies; security data on application submission; anonymous views on the subdomainsA record of your choice in your browser, for 12 months
Accept allNecessary technologies and our own wid.agency history; Matomo on verify and signA record of your choice in your browser for 12 months and statistics cookies (see below)

Both buttons are equally visible, and refusing optional cookies does not limit the site. After 12 months the window appears again. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page.

5Necessary technologies

NameWhere it is storedPurposePeriod
wid-cookie-consentYour browser’s local storageRemember your choice in the consent window12 months
wid-suitcaseYour browser’s local storageRemember the ticks in the “Packing for work in Dubai” checklist — only if you tick itemsUntil you click “Clear ticks” or clear your browser data

These records are not sent to our server and contain no personal data — only your choice, the date and the ticked checklist items.

6Visit statistics — only after “Accept all”

CookiePurposeDuration
wid-journey-v1 (wid.agency)sessionStorage: consented history in this tabSession: 30 minutes of inactivity; until tab closure or withdrawal
_pk_idA random browser number to link repeat visits13 months
_pk_sesMarks that a visit is still in progress30 minutes
_pk_refRemembers where you came to the site from6 months

The listed Matomo cookies are set only by verify.wid.agency and sign.wid.agency, and the information goes only to our Matomo system at stats.wid.agency. It receives: your IP address and the country, region and city derived from it; pages opened, time and duration of viewing; where you came from; device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language, time zone and local time; clicks on WhatsApp and Telegram links and the fact that an application was sent.

Statistics records are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. We do not share them with anyone or use them for advertising. verify.wid.agency and sign.wid.agency have their own consent window — a choice on one address does not carry over to another.

8Third-party websites

When you follow a link to Telegram, WhatsApp, Job Tracker (jobtracker.cc) or WID.System, these services may use cookies under their own rules. Please read their privacy documents.

9If the statistics change

On 23 October 2026 the main site replaced Matomo with our own application context collector and asks for consent again because of the expanded scope. The subdomains retain their previous setup. On 28 September 2026 we enabled Matomo statistics and therefore asked everyone who had already made a choice in the cookie window again. If we add another service or start collecting more information, we will likewise update this document in advance and ask for consent again. Choosing “Necessary only” does not limit the site in any way.

10Managing cookies in your browser

Besides the consent window, every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data:

  • Safari on iPhone: Settings → Apps → Safari → “Block All Cookies”.
  • Chrome: Settings → “Privacy and security” → “Third-party cookies”.
  • Firefox: Settings → “Privacy & Security” → “Cookies and Site Data”.
